Our policies cover a range of medical expenses that are necessarily incurred during a trip due to unforeseen injury resulting from accidents, illnesses, diseases, or personal quarantine. These expenses include:
Emergency medical, surgical, hospital, ambulance, and medical fees and charges incurred outside of your home area.
Emergency dental treatment for immediate relief of pain, but only if incurred outside of your home area.
Costs associated with being in the hospital or confined to your accommodation for a complete 24-hour period, as advised by a medical practitioner, including meal expenses for a nominated person traveling with you.
Costs of telephone calls to and from the Emergency Medical Assistance Service, provided you can provide of your call to the number and the costs you incurred.
The cost of taxi fares for your travel to or from the hospital, whether it's related to admission, discharge, outpatient treatment, appointments, or collection of prescribed medication
With prior authorization from the Emergency Medical Assistance Service, the policy covers additional costs incurred for air transport or other suitable means, including qualified attendants, for repatriation to your home if it's medically necessary. The expenses will typically be for the same class of travel as your outward journey, unless an alternative method is deemed necessary for the ill or injured insured person.
Additional transport and accommodation expenses if it's medically necessary to extend your stay. This includes costs associated with being in the hospital or confined to your accommodation for a complete 24-hour period, as advised by a medical practitioner, including meal expenses for a nominated person traveling with you. Additional benefits are available for kennel or cattery fees.
The policy also provides cover for reasonable costs associated with one person or a specialist vehicle recovery company collecting and returning your vehicle if you are unable to drive it to your home due to illness, injury, or death.
Funeral expenses abroad and the cost of returning your ashes or body if you pass away outside your home area.
