STANDARD MISSED DEPARTURE
If you fail to arrive at the departure point in time to board the public transport on which you are booked to travel as
a result of:
a. the failure of other public transport or
b. an accident to or breakdown of the vehicle in which you are travelling or
c. an accident, breakdown or an unexpected traffic incident happening which causes an unexpected delay or
d. strike or adverse weather conditions,
Then we will pay you up to the amount shown in the Table of Benefits for reasonable additional accommodation (room only) and public transport costs (economy only) so that you may continue your trip. Cover would apply for both inbound/outbound journey (round trip).
EXTENDED MISSED DEPARTURE - Only applicable if Travel disruption addon was purchased:
Cover for extended missed departures applies when you are involuntarily denied boarding, and no suitable alternative is offered within the specified timeframe in the Table of Benefits (12 hours).
In such cases, the policy will provide cover up to the amount indicated in the Table of Benefits for reasonable additional accommodation (room only) and public transport costs (economy only) to enable you to continue your trip. Cover would apply for both inbound/outbound journey (round trip).
You must seek financial compensation, assistance or a refund of your costs from your travel provider and invoke your rights under EU Air Passenger Rights legislation in the event of cancellation or delay of flights if applicable.
You must allow enough time to arrive at the departure point and check in for your outward or return journey
